The Museum of Everyday Culture was founded in 1989 by Mrs. Anna Müller and has been located in the Laubenhaus No. 50, in Andreas Hofer street in the historic Town Centre of Neumarkt, since 2008. The permanent exhibition in the old living rooms shows furnishings and utensils from the everyday life of a middle-class household in the 19th and 20th centuries in Neumarkt. The exhibits are presented as if the house were still inhabited today. The museum's collection was compiled over decades of painstaking work by the collector Mrs. Anna Grandi Müller.
