This scenic circular hike starts in Neumarkt and climbs to the Kanzel viewpoint, rewarding walkers with beautiful views across South Tyrol’s southern wine region and the surrounding countryside. Once you reach Kanzel, take a well-deserved break and enjoy the impressive panorama at your own pace. If you would like to stop for refreshments along the way, the nearby Gsteigerhof inn offers a welcoming place to rest and recharge before continuing the hike.
The descent follows the trail known as Klopfsteig to the ruins of Kaldiff Castle. These historic remains add a cultural highlight to the walk. From there, the route continues through the sun-drenched vineyards of Mazon before returning to Neumarkt.
