This impressive bike route leads along the Adige Cycle Path from Auer through the South Tyrolean lowlands to Lake Garda. Over about 90 kilometers, the path follows the river course of the Adige through sunny orchards, vast vineyards, and historic towns such as Trento and Rovereto. Lake Garda welcomes you at the end with mild climate, Mediterranean vegetation, and a stunning view – a perfect blend of sporting activity and natural experience.
Derived from the technical difficulty and the stamina requirements.
For the return journey from Rovereto, regular regional trains are available that also carry bicycles. Bicycle transport is possible for an additional fee – however, depending on the time of day and space limited. With the South Tyrol South Card, you can travel free of charge by bus and train (the bike ticket must be purchased separately).
Trekking bikes, road bikes, or e-bikes are suitable for this route. Also recommended: weather-appropriate clothing, helmet, bike lock, maps or GPS, sunscreen, drinks, and a small snack for the way.
