The hiking trail passes the Perdonig chapel at the dwarf school and the Gasthof Wieser. The
No. 8 Gaid soon branches off to the right from the forest road (possibly a detour to the Wolfsgrube), the path leads downhill to the access road to Gaid, which is reached in ¾ hour.
Church, inn, a few scattered mountain farms, grazing sheep or cows, and the almost overwhelming wall of the Gantkofel: that is Gaid. The view to the east is open, Bolzano lies at your feet, Schlern, Rosengarten, Latemar, Weiß- and Schwarzhorn above.
The access road, on which you have hiked, serves very well as the return route. There are always beautiful views and at the same time insights into a simple, rural way of life.
Dining options: Gasthof Wieser, Gasthof Lipp, Gasthof Moarhof
