Auer (also known as Ora in Italian) is a lovely wine village with more than 3,000 inhabitants nestled in the Castelfeder holiday region. Although the people no longer live exclusively off agriculture, the place has been able to preserve its rural charm and there are historic residences and farms in the Mediterranean style, narrow lanes lined by natural stone walls, trees and flowers wherever you look.
Auer is situated in the fertile Etsch valley, at a slight elevation of 250 metres above sea level. Shops, cafés and cosy guesthouses lend the place a pleasant atmosphere that you will enjoy soaking up.
